Getting started

HOW TO BOOK:

  1. Hit the BOOK NOW button at the top right corner

  2. KINDLY GIVE ME AT LEAST 24HRS NOTICE BEFORE START OF BOOKING, I am unable to accept same day bookings for new clients, and rarely for existing clients. If there is a cancellation that day, I may be able to accommodate you.

  3. Please provide the dates (including a start and end time, if you have one), how many pets and type, and what type of service you need (drop in, walk, or sitting). For new clients: Use the Contact Me page to send an inquiry. For returning clients: An email will suffice!

  4. For new clients: I will reply to you via email, from there we will set up a meet and greet to make sure I’m a good fit for your needs

  5. After the meet and greet, PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF BOOKING to secure your dates

DAY BEFORE:

  1. I will confirm with you any access information, including key location or door code, and any alarm codes I will need

  2. Please leave out any written instructions you think I will need. This can include (but not limited to) emergency contact and vet information, food amount, feeding time, any medications, house rules for your pet, and wifi information

DURING SERVICE:

  1. Payment is due at this time if using cash or card

  2. All updates and communication will be done via email. If you require additional communication options, please let me know beforehand

  3. FOR DROP INS AND WALKS: I will send you an email with our start and stop times, photos from our time, and a brief summary once service is complete. Having your wifi information is very helpful with this, as I don’t always have cell service in your area

  4. FOR SITTINGS: I will send you an email after our first stop and every evening around dinnertime. These emails will include about 5-10 photos from our day and a summary of any events, including walks, mealtimes and behavior.

FINISHING UP:

  1. Once service is complete, I will send you an email summary of our time. If there is a physical key, I will confirm the final location I will leave it in as part of our last email.

  2. For sittings: you can expect the trash to be taken to the outside can, any used dishes cleaned and drying beside the sink, used bed will be made up and towel(s) on top of the bed, and any mail or packages received left on the kitchen table. Your pet will be secured in whatever manner you have directed (crate,room or free roaming).

  3. Finally, a kind review on Google would mean the world to me!

Who will actually be doing the sitting/walking/drop ins?

  • That would be me, Nicole. Who you meet is who you get!

What is a Meet & Greet?

  • During a meet and greet, I come to your home to meet you and your pet(s)! For the safety and comfort of your pet, it’s important for them to meet any new person coming to their home while in the presence of their favorite Person (that’s you!). This is also to establish that I’m a good fit for what you need. During this time, we can also discuss any particular needs of your pet and details for their visit, as well as any questions you might have.

  • A MEET & GREET IS REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW CLIENTS, including cats, reptiles and farm animals

Do you bring any other people or pets with you for services?

  • It will be just your pet and myself. No additional guests will be brought with me.

How far in advance should I book?

  • The further, the better! I make my calendar up to 3 months in advance. Most people book drop ins and walks 1-3 weeks in advance, and sittings 1-2months. Kindly give me at least 24hrs notice before a booking, I am not typically available same-day.

How does payment work?

  • I accept cash and credit cards in person, as well as Venmo and PayPal. I am unable to accept Zelle, ApplePay, GooglePay or checks. Payment is due before service is rendered.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Check out the Services Page for information on cancellations, refunds and credits

Can you stay with my pet all day?

  • Certainly! You are looking for Constant Care, a 24hr service. This does require a 30day advance reservation and a 50% non-refundable deposit, as I will need to block off all other reservations for that time.

Can my pet stay at your house?

  • I do not offer pet boarding in my home at this time, only pet services at your location.

How does access to the home work?

  • Whether it’s a lockbox, electronic lock, keypad or just leaving the key under the mat, it’s up to you. I’m familiar with all kinds of systems! Before our service starts, I will confirm any access instructions.

Can you do injection medication or care for special needs animals?

  • I specialize in anxious animals, and have done injections for both dogs and cats. Please let me know before or during our Meet & Greet if your pet requires any particular considerations.

Do you accept puppies?

  • I am not accepting puppies younger than 8months. All pets must be fully vaccinated and housebroken.

Are there any animals you do not accept?

  • From dogs and cats, birds, reptiles and farm animals, I’ve seen them all! Accepting all domestic pets. Farm animals, nothing larger than sheep please. No longer accepting pigs.

How long have you been doing this?

  • I’ve been watching animals in some capacity almost all my life. Professionally, I started walking dogs in 2019 and have loved it ever since!
